On August 4, the director of the China Life Science Association Practice Education Working Committee, Zhang Yunfeng and her team were invited to visit China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), and conducted discussions and exchanges on relevant standards of the implementation of the spirit of the government’s “Opinions on Labor Education in Universities, Middle Schools and Primary Schools” with the Secretary-General of CBCGDF Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, the CBCGDF Group Standards Center and the CBCGDF Green Children working group.
After discussion, the two parties decided to jointly establish an expert group for group standards. Under the guidance of the expert group, the work of setting up standards for labor education practice bases (camps) to be carried out. At the same time, relevant institutions are invited to participate together, and the follow-up work arrangements were discussed.
At present, China is paying more and more attention to labor education, and requires strengthening labor education in schools to promote the comprehensive and healthy growth of young people. Dr. Zhou emphasized that labor education must be carried out under the guidance of new civilization thoughts. Students must be exposed to new civilizations from childhood, understand the morals and standards of ecological civilization, participate in the changes of ecological civilization, and promote ecological civilization through the development of education.
Director Zhang said that the two sides are highly consistent in their ideas. It is hoped that through the formulation of standards, as well as subsequent training, promotion, review, certification and other links, the high-quality participation of serving Chinese youths in labor education-related courses and practices, through labor education, strengthens the concept of labor and promotes the spirit of labor, to jointly promote ecological civilization construction.
