【绿会12月11日北京讯】日前，中国绿发会代表应邀出席由联合国环境署、亿利公益基金会主办的第六次《全球环境展望亚太区域评估》报告中文版发布会，并为联合国环境署首席科学家杰奎琳·麦克格雷教授颁发由绿会签发的中国野生动植物保护志愿者证。

麦克格雷教授欣然接受并高度赞赏绿会及志愿者们在野生动植物保护方面所作的努力，并寄语野保志愿者，呼吁更多人加入到保护野生动植物的行列中来。

麦克格雷2014年起担任联合国环境署首席科学家、科学司司长。她长期住在非洲，格外关注野生动物保护事业，她希望通过与绿会进一步合作，促进中非野保志愿者的招募和野保事业的发展。

I live amongst wild animals in my village of Ewangan in the Maasai Mara. The Maasai cannot imagine a world without wildlife so animals have the spirits of the world within them. Each day we welcome each other with a wish to  survive and in the end to sleep well. Each day the Maasai work to help protect animals and wildlife.
