Andi, our first Volunteer Animal Detective, is busy patrolling to safeguard migratory birds in this spring season. Under China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF)’s China Conservation Areas (CCAfa) director Tian's systematic training, he has been able to identify various poisonous bird baits commonly used by poachers.

He obtained the CBCGDF Volunteer Certificate in Dec 2018. The Sniffer Dog is China's first folk Animal Volunteer of this kind. Biodiversity conservation needs innovative approaches. In the past half year, he helped to crack several illegal birds-poisoning cases in the Tangshan area with amazing efficiency.
