On the afternoon of July 12, the Chairman of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) Mr. Hu Deping met with Mr. Ai Yakang, the "Chinese Bird King" in Beijing. Chairman Hu Deping asked about the “Ai Yakang World Bird Day” promoted by CBCGDF in mid-June. Mr. Ai Yakang introduced his own growth, entrepreneurship, and how to take the path from being an entrepreneur to protecting birds and shared the special story behind his photographing birds.

Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, the Secretary-General of CBCGDF introduced: “There is no Bird Atlas in the world. Ai Yakang has already photographed nearly 2,000 species of birds; it is already very remarkable. His footprint has spread all over the world. This is a very rare thing. There are more than 20 ‘Bird Kings” around the world, the number of bird species photographed is less than 3,000. Will see who is the ‘World Bird King’ of the year by the end of this year. Ai Yakang hopes to break the Guinness World Record and use half a year to break the world record of the previous whole year.” Mr. Ai Yakang also mentioned that the next photographing process will be reported and shared in real time on the CBCGDFs social media news platforms. According to the advice of Chairman Hu Deping, the special experience of bird observation will be summarized into a Diary of birding and photographing.
