On May 29, Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, the Secretary-General of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) delivered a speech at Zhejiang University. He discussed biodiversity conservation, ecological civilization, and youth action with the students. This event is moderated by Pro. Zhu Zengrong of College of Agriculture & Biotechnology, ZJU.

Dr. Zhou introduced the birth of the United Nation's Convention on Biological Diversity (UN CBD), UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Aichi Biodiversity Targets, the Sixth Mass Extinction, and the unsustainable industrialized civilization. He also elaborated Ecological Civilization and biodiversity conservation from the perspectives of digital technology and life sciences with CBCGDF's experiences.

Youth is the future as well as the main force of biodiversity conservation. Dr. Zhou encourages the youth to actively engage in the construction of Ecological Civilization and sustainable development.
