On 13 December, the council meeting of CBCGDF was held. Chairman Hu Deping gave a speech on the work of CBCGDF.

Before the meeting started, Chairman Hu highly recognized council members actively joining Wechat groups for better communication in the future. He pointed out that the approach of joining Wechat groups, a convenient and fundamental social platform in China, brought all individual council members together into one, which created higher convenience for CBCGDF.

CBCGDF, on the basis of this small council, has complete qualifications to carry out various activities and to participate in international exchanges as a legal platform and social organization. CBCGDF contacted and conducted related work with individuals, social organizations, international organizations, etc. It is very valuable and is of great help to the society. With CBCGDF, we have a platform for talents to fully apply their expertise. Through this large group, we can announce the activities and ideas to China and even the world and receive feedback from all walks of life including the international communities. With legal protection and government support, the proposals of CBCGDF are widely concerned and promoted.

Except for the platform itself, Mr. Hu Deping also encouraged CBCGDF to help the society as a foundation by carrying our more on-the-ground activities, collecting public opinions and help the public to express their voice. For now, the function has not yet to be fully complemented. He urged CBCGDF to put more attention to this field.

Finally, where should the talents be? Dating back to the funding history-the reintroduction of Milu Deer of CBCGDF, we can find that CBCGDF has been very good at international communications. In 1992, the foundation included the biodiversity conservation into our main focal area. In 2009, green development was involved in the foundation’s work areas. To truly achieve these goals, Mr. Hu said that the mission would have to be implemented collectively and everyone would feel comfortable to bring up potential problems to our attention.

Meanwhile, Chairman Hu Deping also encouraged CBCGDF to have academic viewpoints and to actively connect with enterprises.

In the end, he hoped that in the next stage, funds and committees of CBCGDF should all jointly establish a flexible mechanism, exerting the best strength of CBCGDF.
