To cooperate with China to implement the “Paris Agreement” and raise public awareness and participation in climate action, the 3rd China (Shenzhen) International Climate Film and Television Conference held by CBCGDF as an academic director was held in Shenzhen on September 17-18, 2018. With the theme of “Climate Change and Public Participation”, this conference promotes low-carbon policies to practitioners through a series of events such as keynote speeches, expert forums, and public welfare screenings to disseminate climate knowledge to the public.
Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, the SG of CBCGDF and vice Chairman of the World Green Design Organization was invited to attend and participate a roundtable dialogue on the 17th. Mr. Rajendra Shende, an advisor of CBCGDF and a core expert of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), was invited to give a keynote on the theme “Responding to Climate Change from a Changing Way of Thinking”.
In the roundtable dialogue, Dr. Zhou introduced that CBCGDF’s mission is to carry out a series of activities around ecological civilization, environmental protection and sustainable development. CBCGDF joins the World Green Design Organization to use green design to lead the transformation of production, life and consumption, and to achieve the symbiosis between man and nature. Among them, the conservation of biodiversity is even more important.
He said that the current work has made some progress, and China is actively implementing the “Paris Agreement”. But we still need to start from scratch and through a series of work to influence more people to join the environmental protection cause. Dr. Zhou gave high praise and recognition to this conference.
