2023 Belgium National Day Reception Held in Beijing, CBCGDF Attended at Invitation

On July 21, 2023, the 2023 Belgium National Day Reception was held at the residence of the Belgian Ambassador in Beijing. Responding to the gracious invitation from His Excellency Dr. Jan Hoogmartens, the Belgian Ambassador to China, representatives from the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) attended the reception.

Before the event commenced, Ms. Linda WONG, Deputy Secretary-General of the CBCGDF, engaged in delightful conversations with Ambassador Jan Hoogmartens, introducing the foundation's recent efforts in biodiversity conservation, green development, and its contributions to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in collaboration with the international community.

Ambassador Jan Hoogmartens expressed his appreciation for the CBCGDF's endeavors and emphasized the significance of environmental cooperation and cultural exchange as vital links strengthening the bond between China and Belgium. He elaborated on the joint declaration signed by the two countries over a decade ago to further cooperation in the environmental sector. He looked forward to continued efforts in enhancing environmental exchange and cooperation between the two nations, fostering enduring friendship and shared prosperity for their people.

As both countries embrace a shared vision of sustainable development and environmental stewardship, such interactions and collaborations pave the way for a brighter future, characterized by mutual understanding, cooperation, and a harmonious coexistence with nature.
