The event is co-organized by Yunus Environment Hub, Biodiversity and Green Foundation USA, Environmental Safety Research Center of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, and Institute of Belt & Road Global Cooperation of Beijing University of Chemical Technology and the Hongyi EcoSite. The event aims to explore the impact of chemicals on agricultural biodiversity and environmental health, and to find ways to avoid damage and enhance benefits. Discussions will also focus on exploring the impacts brought by new pollutants on agroecology, as well as sharing best practices, innovative approaches, and nature-based solutions from around the world.

With the widespread use of chemicals, their far-reaching impact on agricultural biodiversity and environmental health has become a growing concern. Inappropriate use may damage agricultural biodiversity, the environment, and human health, while safe use may protect biodiversity and avoid threats to soil ecology and food security. The event is expected to draw participants from various countries and sectors, including government agencies, academia, NGOs, and industry, to discuss this important issue and find solutions to protect our planet’s biodiversity.
