The sixteenth meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Basel Convention (BC COP-16), the eleventh meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Rotterdam Convention (RC COP-11) and the eleventh meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Stockholm Convention (SC COP-11) will be held in Geneva, Switzerland from 1-12 May 2023. The 2023 meetings of the Conferences of the Parties to the three conventions will be held under the theme “Accelerating action: Targets for the sound management of chemicals and waste”.

China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), as an observer organization of the conventions, pays close attention to global chemical governance and keeps track of the latest information. This year, CBCGDF will send a six-member delegation to attend the meetings of the Conferences of the Parties and participate in the proceedings online and offline.

In addition, CBCGDF will hold a side event of the Conferences of the Parties with the theme of “Chemicals and Agricultural Biodiversity” on May 1, Geneva time.
