The World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Forum 2023 was held in Geneva from March 13 to 17. The theme of the forum was “WSIS Action Lines for Building Back Better and Accelerating the Achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”. Professor James Crabbe, an expert from China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), was invited to give a keynote speech on the importance of omics to deep sea mining policy at the session of Digital-Environment Systems Alliance (DESC).
