On the afternoon of November 9, 2022, Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, Secretary-General of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), and Richard Elelman, Acting Coordinator of World Water Quality Alliance (WWQA) held an online meeting.

During the meeting, Dr. Zhou Jinfeng first briefly introduced the current situation and history of CBCGDF to Richard Ellerman. In terms of water resources management and protection, CBCGDF has established several special funds to solve drinking water problems in metropolitan and rural areas. In response to water pollution control issues, CBCGDF has launched a number of environmental public interest lawsuits in recent years, actively promoting river restoration of habitats such as lakes, wetlands and deserts. In addition, CBCGDF actively participated in the work of the United Nations and held a large number of related activities.

Mr. Richard Ellerman, Acting Coordinator of the World Water Quality Alliance, first briefly introduced the establishment, purpose and work focus of the World Water Quality Alliance. Then, he particularly emphasized the bottlenecks encountered in the development process of the World Water Quality Alliance since its establishment five years ago. He especially hoped to cooperate and communicate with CBCGDF.
