CBCGDF Approved to Hold CITES CoP19 Side Event | Helping to Combat the Illegal Trade of International Wildlife Species

The 19th Conference of the Parties (CoP19) of the United Nations Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) will be held in Panama City, from November 14 to 25, 2022.

China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) is an observer organization of the CITES Convention and has long been committed to biodiversity conservation and green development. CBCGDF will organize a delegation to attend the Conference in Panama City. Previously, the International Department of CBCGDF submitted the CITES CoP19 Side Meeting application online.

On August 21st, Beijing time, the International Department of CBCGDF received a letter from the wildlife-law enforcement units of the CITES Secretariat, and was informed that the Side Event of CBCGDF on the theme of "Sustainability of Wildlife Trade" was approved.

The side event will be held from 19:00-21:00 on November 23, 2022, Panama time. It will focus on the sustainability of wildlife trade and help combat illegal wildlife trade.
