On the evening of June 17, 2022, the Delegates of the International Department of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) was invited by the French “4 per 1000 Initiative” to participate in the 2022 Annual "4 per 1000" virtual fair - Healthy Soils for a Healthy Planet.
The 4 per 1000 Initiative is an international initiative launched by France in December 2015. The initiative aims to highlight the critical role that agriculture, particularly agricultural soils, can play in food security and climate change.
The host of the meeting, Dr. Paul LUU, Executive Director of the French 4/1000 Initiative, served as the moderator and he introduced the importance and specific implementation strategies of the 4/1000 Initiative to the participants. It is well known that human activities emit large amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, which intensifies the greenhouse effect and accelerates climate change.
