Honored to Have RSPB Senior Policy Officer Helen Quill as Keynote Speaker for CBCGDF's 2022 UN Ocean Conference Side Event

China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) will host a side event during the 2022 United Nations Ocean Conference on June 30. The theme will be: Marine Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Development: Promoting Synergies Between SDGS 4,7,13,14 and 15. Helen Quill, Senior Policy Officer of Marine and Climate of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) have been invited for our side event.

Helen Quayle is a Senior Policy Officer leading on offshore wind for the RSPB in the UK and with Bird Life across the North Sea. She has over a decade of experience in marine conservation at the RSPB including fisheries, marine spatial planning and Marine Protected Areas. Her team at the RSPB are preparing a collaborative report on the acceleration of Nature Positive offshore wind recognizing the urgent need for this technology and ocean recovery. She represents the RSPB on the Convention of Migratory Species Energy Task Force and on the European industry and NGO Coalition for Energy and Nature (OCEaN).

The 2022 UN Ocean Conference, co-hosted by the Governments of Kenya and Portugal, will be held in Lisbon, Portugal, from June 27 to July 1, 2022. The side event held by CBCGDF will focus on global and local marine biodiversity conservation and sustainable development, biofriendly clean energy and Marine education. Experts invited from different countries will discuss issues on Marine animal conservation.
