On 7 September, China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) Green Children Working Group gave a science popularization on Madagascar biodiversity for the children and introduced the "Madagascar Crisis" aid project of CBCGDF National Ecological Security Work Committee (NESS) at the class meeting day of the two classes of Beijing 57 Middle School.

Due to safety concerns during the pandemic, the lecture was held online. At 5 o 'clock, the activity officially began. CBCGDF staff first showed the children a documentary about Madagascar's unique biology. Following that, representatives of the CBCGDF NESS working group discussed to the teachers and students the unique biology of Madagascar, the impact of the recent terrible famine on the local population, and the specific aims and implementation techniques of the aid project to the teachers and students. Furthermore, CBCGDF lecturers promoted ecological civilization and the sixth mass extinction of humans through enlightenment popularisation, encouraging youngsters to pay more attention to and participate in public welfare activities to conserve the earth's ecosystem.

The students submitted a letter to Madagascar's environment minister, who is attending the IUCN World Conservation Congress (WCC) in Marseille, France, on the advice of the Green Children Working Group. They expressed their warmest greetings and offered a helping hand in the letter. They hoped to use their pocket money to assist Madagascans in overcoming obstacles and cultivating a positive outlook for the planet.

From this campus effort, the CBCGDF Green Children Working Group could disseminate science and the hope for China's long-term growth. The students' zeal and liveliness infected every member of the working group. These childlike but compassionate and idealistic children are inextricably linked to preserving biodiversity and the stability and prosperity of human societies. We hope that more parents, instructors, and the CBCGDF would collaborate to provide them with opportunities to experience the world outside the campus and literature and take on the responsibilities that come with being an outstanding people.
