On August 18, 2021, the Crucial Scientific Problems of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) 2021: "The impact of "Asian Water Tower" imbalance instability on the river system of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau" consultant symposium, sponsored by the CBCGDF, held in Beijing. Thank you very much for joining us today, Academician Guo Donghua and other experts. To follow up on President Xi Jinping's speech at this year's 10th National Congress of The CAST and continue the relevant work, the CAST has organized more than 200 societies to sort out and recommend current major scientific issues. 
Among the recommended scientific issues, "The impact of "Asian Water Tower" imbalance instability on the river system of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau " recommended by the CBCGDF was included in the top ten frontier scientific issues. Leaders and the scientific community attach great importance to the later work after the selection, requiring each recommending unit to organize experts in related fields to conduct in-depth research and revision, and it will be published. Of course, the publication is a form. The most important thing is that after we identify it as a major scientific issue, we should further organize and tackle the critical problems, organize scientific research and promote related work. This is the cause of this conference.
