IMPACT Madagascar was formally established in 2014 and is a non-profit organization based in Madagascar. They are committed to benefiting and empowering local communities, thereby promoting the sustainable protection, development and utilization of the environment. From forest protection to recycling and environmental education, IMPACT Madagascar’s key projects are helping the local Madagascan people build a bright and sustainable future. At the meeting, Ms. Josia said, “We are working with the people to provide solutions to the problems of deforestation, pollution and poverty”.

Out of consideration for the efficient use of resources, IMPACT Madagascar is currently focusing more on ecologically fragile areas that are vital to environmental protection. By providing families in the community with more means of earning a living, including forest rangers and environmental co-inspectors as a way to reduce residents’ dependence on natural resources. By training residents to compost and other methods, improve local agricultural farming productivity; by providing alternative solutions to reduce the use of charcoal to reduce deforestation, and ultimately achieve the purpose of protecting local biodiversity. This series of short-term and long-term assistance, supported by education and training, makes it possible to solve local poverty, lack of water resources, and insufficient food problems.

The representative of the International Department of the CBCGDF asked Josia about the issues of cooperation, including its specific protected species, specific assistance measures for famine areas in the south, innovative measures in "recycling", and transparency of institutional funding. After the other party gave a brief answer, the two sides agreed to further exchange relevant information after the meeting to deepen their understanding and determine the direction and method of future cooperation.

It is worth mentioning that IMPACT Madagascar proposed that in addition to conventional materials and financial assistance, they are looking forward to the exchange of experience with the CBCGDF in the fields of biodiversity conservation, recycling, and environmental governance. The CBCGDF is pleased to see that these institutions and organizations that have offered us the opportunities of cooperation, which means our past work have been increasingly recognized and the way of cooperation has shifted from a simple basic level to a level that can be inherited and continued, such as case study. We hope that there will be more partners in all corners of the world to jointly contribute to the sustainable green development of the earth and mankind.
