Standards are the result of the progress of human civilization and the universal language; Biodiversity standards promote the construction of an ecological civilization and a global community of life. As the member of the Chinese delegation, representatives of the CBCGDF's Standards Working Committee attended the second day of the first annual meeting of ISO/TC 331 on the evening of June 29, 2021.

The International Organization for Biological Diversity Technology (ISO/TC 331) was established in 2020 to develop standards in areas including biodiversity and to develop overall and global requirements, principles, frameworks, guidance and support tools for all relevant organizations. The first plenary session of TC331 will open on June 28, 2021. The plenary session will last five days.

In order to promote the internationalization of biodiversity conservation standards in China, the Committee submitted a proposal to the International Committee on Biological Diversity Technology (ISO/TC 331) to contribute to global biodiversity governance.
