Hu Deping, the Chairman of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), recently met with the new Japanese Ambassador to China, Mr. Hideo Tarumi, in Beijing.

The two sides discussed sustainable development and environmental issues, as well as China's goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2060, and Japan's commitment to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. China, Japan and the people of the two countries share a common vision in tackling climate change.

Mr. Hideo Tarumi said that he hopes to cooperate with the CBDGDF in the fields of environment, carbon neutrality and climate change, and promote friendly exchanges and people-to-people bonds between China and Japan.
