On November 5th, Zhou Jinfeng was invited to inspect Beijing Jiaqing Energy Technology Co., Ltd. in Daxing Hydrogen Energy Industrial Park and exchanged views on the hydrogen fuel cell stack project.

 

Hydrogen energy, regarded as the clean energy with the most development potential in the 21st century, is a secondary energy source. It has diverse sources, can achieve zero emissions at the terminal and is environmentally friendly; it has a wide range of uses, in addition to power generation and heat generation, it is also an ideal alternative energy source for transportation. Since the 1970s, the unique advantages of hydrogen energy have attracted the attention of the international community. Some countries are actively developing new generation energy technologies such as hydrogen energy and fuel cells. In recent years, China has also strongly supported the development of the hydrogen energy industry. The hydrogen energy industry chain is also the starting point for stimulating economic development and transformation and upgrading. It is predicted that in the future China will become the center of the world's hydrogen energy industry chain.

 

The core of the hydrogen energy industry chain is the hydrogen fuel cell stack. The stack is a hard-core technology with a very high technological content. It can be said that it is the crown jewel of the hydrogen energy industry chain. Dr. Zhou Jinfeng had published papers on this subject when he was studying in the Department of Chemistry at Peking University. Therefore, when he inspected the project, he was very familiar with and recognized it. He also hopes to establish a Blue-Sky Fund in China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) to promote the leap-forward development of stack technology in China's hydrogen energy industry chain and seize the commanding heights of the international hydrogen energy industry.

 

The upstream of the hydrogen energy industry chain is green hydrogen, which mainly comes from photovoltaic and wind power in desert areas. China has a vast territory and abundant photovoltaic wind power resources. The current annual curtailment of wind and PV power generation reaches 100 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, while wind turbines and photovoltaic factories have overcapacity and no quota for installation, which is thought-provoking. In addition, green hydrogen should also be the main force of China Certified Emission Reductions (CCER) (and carbon sinks, etc.), play a leading role in carbon emissions trading, and be included in the carbon emissions trading management measures.

 

CBCGDF will lead the development of green hydrogen (gradually reduce the ratio of gray hydrogen and black hydrogen) based on the research on the Sand Industry Special Fund and other projects, and at the same time align with the upcoming Blue-Sky Fund to promote the upgrade of the entire hydrogen energy industry chain, to accelerate the improvement of all links in the construction of hydrogen energy pilot cities. It is of great significance for accelerating the construction of a carbon-neutral society, the construction of ecological civilization, and the promotion of a community with a shared future for mankind.
