The 15th Annual Meeting of the International Conference on Genomics (ICG-15) co-organized by China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development foundation (CBCGDF) is scheduled to be held on Oct. 25-31, 2020 in Wuhan City, China. As in the first announcement released on April 8 when Wuhan City lifted its lockdown, the organizers are happy to share with you the approaching normal situation in Wuhan with most, if not all, of social activities resumed, and extend the warm welcome to all friends to join in the ICG-15.

Following the ICG's permanent theme of "OMICS for ALL", the annual theme of the ICG-15 is "Omics and Global Health", covering the vast fields of life sciences, especially omics, from global collaboration and education, ethics, state-of-the-arts and breakthroughs in technology development, to big data and biobanking, global sustainable development, and etc.

Since its first annual meeting, the ICG has provided a platform for free discussions related to omics, as well as an annual opportunity to meet prestigious scientists, researchers, policy makers and others from related fields, facilitating cooperation, innovation and applications in the field of omics. This year, as ICG makes its debut in Wuhan, this opportunity will be utilized to share experience and lessons for the prevention and control of future epidemics. Please come and join us at the late autumn in Wuhan.

Besides, On October 29th, from 3:40-6:00 pm Beijing time, there will be a panel discussion co-organized by CBCGDF themed “Biodiversity and Omics: Life Science in an Ecological Civilization Era”.

It is worth mentioning that, to implement Sustainable Development Goals, the ICG-15 adopts the “Green Meeting Index” (GMI, T/CGDF 00001-2019) proposed by CBCGDF, by reducing printing materials, reducing disposable bottle water and suppling refilled water, reducing food waste, holding online and offline simultaneously to reduce the carbon footprints, to contribute efforts from academia and industry to achieve China’s becoming carbon neutral before 2060.
