The 2020 China Science and Technology Week, co-sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Health Commission and the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, will be held on August 23-29.
Dr. Sara Platto, Secretary-General of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) Biological and Scientific Ethics Committee (BASE) and Chief Scientist of Wildlife Rescue, was invited to participate in the events of this Science and Technology Week. Together with other foreign experts who have made outstanding contributions in the professional field, they will bring excitement to science lectures to Beijing middle school students. Stay tuned!
Dr. Platto, as an expert in the protection and rescue of marine mammals and animal welfare, will give a lecture on "How Does It Sound to Be A Dolphin?".
This lecture will focus on the way dolphins make and receive sounds, their unique whistling and brain structure, and how communication mechanisms affect their perception of the external environment.
