On August 17, China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) Research Department representatives attended this year's national ecosystem monitoring technology and optimization management model training session. To improve team capacity building and the learning spirit of the CBCGDF as a "learning community", during the training process, representatives shared the whole process with internal colleagues through the "Green Aid" system.

The 3-day online training was jointly sponsored by the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Secretariat and Comprehensive Center of the Chinese Ecosystem Research Network Science Committee, and the National Ecological Science Data Center. This is also the second national training course on ecosystem monitoring technology and optimized management model held since 2019.

This training activity is mainly aimed at the National Field Science Observation and Research Station, the Chinese Ecosystem Research Network Field Station, the Chinese Academy of Sciences Academy-level and Institute-level Ecological Observation and Research Stations, national and provincial nature reserves, and internationally focusing wetlands. National forest parks, as well as national universities and scientific research institutions, NGO nature protection organizations, and other institutions of field ecological monitoring and management backbone personnel also attended. According to statistics from the organizer, the training organizer has accepted more than 400 registrations from all over the country since accepting the registration and training. After screening by the organizer, more than 200 trainees were able to participate in the training. "Our ecosystem monitoring network is open. This training is to share with you the experience in ecological monitoring technology and data sharing through teacher teaching, student sharing, etc., to improve the frontline ecosystem monitoring personnel and monitoring system competence and level", the organizer, Ms. Yu Xiubo, a researcher at the Institute of Geographical Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, gave a speech before the session start.

The three-day training schedule is well arranged. On the first day, Academician Fu Bojie will explain to the students the latest trends in the field of global ecosystem observation and research. Academician Yu Guirui’s doctoral student Zhang Leimin will share the "Terrestrial Ecosystem Carbon, Nitrogen, Water and Energy Observation Technology" for all the students. Professor Bo and researcher Jia Xiaoxu gave a report sharing: "New Progress of International Ecosystem Monitoring Research Network" and "New Progress of Terrestrial Ecosystem Monitoring Research Network". Among them, during the three-day training event, the representative of the CBCGDF Research Office, as the representative of the trainees, will gather some practical cases and doubts about the ecosystem monitoring and evaluation encountered by the CBCGDF in actual work, and communicate with all participants- teachers and members through PowerPoint exchanges and discussions.
