August 8, 2020, coincides with the third anniversary of the establishment of the Peking University Youth CEO Club. China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) Secretary-General, Peking University Youth CEO Club Advisor, Peking University Chemistry Department alumni Zhou Jinfeng attended the commemorative event and delivered a speech. “The first gained knowledge: We may face public health security issues for a long time in the future. Before and after the epidemic, our production and living ways will undergo great changes. For example, our habits of traveling and holding meetings have changed. This will be a long-term change. Of course, some production and living ways may recover to a certain extent, but some may never return to the before.”
The second gained knowledge: ‘dual circulations’. Now, we have experienced 40 years of reform and opening up, and we are facing a situation of global openness, cooperation and competition. From the perspective of the future industry, the domestic market will be the main body of the ‘big cycle’. The situation in the international market facing constant changes and challenges may not change. And the constant changes, for our entrepreneurs, also symbolize many opportunities.
The third gained knowledge: technological development is a major trend. The technology of the future depends deeply on all of us here, and we must maintain an open learning attitude towards international technology.
Today, as an ‘old entrepreneur’, I shared with you my gained knowledges on market changes and major trends, which may or may not be related to your work. But I hope to tell you that these changes will profoundly affect the lives and production methods of everyone in the world. I believe that the outstanding qualities of the people of Peking University, such as sensitivity, innovation, and bravery on the cusp of the times, allow us to always maintain innovation and face changes more actively.
