May 20th is the World Bee Day, May 21st is the World Cultural Diversity Promotion Dialogue and Development Day, and May 22nd is the International Day for Biological Diversity. These days are advocating that human beings pay attention to and protect the diversity of life, nature, ecology, biology, and culture, and protect human beings themselves. May 20th, 2020 is also the Lesser Fullness of Grain (8th Solar Term) of the traditional Chinese lunar calendar. According to the 24 solar terms in ancient China. At this time, the seeds of summer crops began to fill up, but they were still immature, full of hope, and gestated infinite possibilities, just like the stage of China’s natural education industry.

On May 20th, by China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation, Natural Education Center, World Eco-community Alliance (WEA), directed by Chinese Society of Forestry, International Design Center for Architectural and Ecological, China Association For Life Care, and house.ifeng.com together held “Listen to the Voice of Nature with Love - China Nature Education Online Summit and the 2nd China Science Popularization Education Development Summit Forum”, Through the way of cloud live broadcast, it brought a huge network spirit feast to the partners who love and pay attention to life, nature, ecology, and education. The forum lasted for three days from May 20ty to 22nd.

On the first day of the forum, the guests were Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, Secretary-General of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF); Mr. Chen Xingliang, Secretary-General of Chinese Society of Forestry; Mr. Guo Geng, deputy director of Beijing Milu Deer Ecological Center and director of science popularization department; Ms. Kosima, German Ecologist and Artist; Ms. Chen Li, co-founder, and CEO of Yinxin Natural Education Science Center; Mr. Xiong Jianhui, researcher of the development research center of Ministry of Education, etc.

Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, Secretary-General of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation, member of the World Commission on Environmental Law (WCEL) of IUCN, and expert of the OECD Global Technical Expert Group of the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) delivered a speech as the co-organizer of the summit. He said that Chinese people have always attached great importance to the understanding of nature. In the Tao Te Ching, Lao Tzu once said that “Tao is natural”. This statement not only guides the development of Chinese art, life, literature, and other fields for thousands of years but also plays an important role in the current ecological protection. The essence of human biodiversity conservation practice is the process of human understanding and protection of nature. To live in harmony with nature, we need to help the natural ecology to follow the natural laws and objectively evolve, rather than interfere or even destroy. Only in this way can we realize the sustainable development of the ecological environment. With the emergence and progress of industrial civilization, the conflict between human and nature is becoming more and more serious, especially the outbreak of COVID-19 epidemic this year, which makes people more strongly realize that due to the excessive encroachment of human activities on the living natural environment of animals and plants, the conflict between human and nature constantly occurs and breaks through the boundary. In this regard, we must make changes, and all of these should start from natural education, let children participate, understand and spread, and jointly protect the mountain, water, forest, field, lake, grass, which we rely on for survival, so as to create a more harmonious coexistence space between human and nature. Finally, Secretary-General Zhou Jinfeng wishes the summit a complete success and calls on people from all walks of life who are keen on natural education to learn from each other and promote each other. He believes that this platform is just the beginning. Each of us is a participant and disseminator of ecological environment protection. “We should create a better natural habitat ecology together under the guidance of ecological civilization.”

On the day of the forum on the 20th, Wu Daoyuan released the “0.1 Version of China’s Natural Education Map” to nearly 5,000 online partners in China. “We know that there are many institutions for natural education. The reason for the release of version 0.1 is that with more collisions and exchanges, the map of natural education can be quickly iterated. From the map distribution, there are 18 institutions, such as Green home, Youdiancao Natural Education Center, Afu Forest Experience, Pumi Forest, etc., and more natural education partners are welcome to join hands with us!”, he said.

The three-day China Nature Education Online Summit and the 2nd China Science Popularization Education Development Summit Forum have been successfully concluded. Friends who pay attention to natural education, biodiversity conservation, life, environment, science popularization, and ecological community construction can continuously listen to the thoughts, experiences of explorers and forerunners in this field, and communicate with them.
