Zhou Jinfeng Approves of Chinese Declaration on World Heritage | The 43rd Session of the World Heritage Committee

Recently, Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, Secretary-General of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) was invited to sign a joint letter, supporting Chinese submission of world heritage sites.

 

As one of the most important ecosystems around the world, the Yellow Sea ecosystem is under great threat. In order to protect the coastal ecological environment and safeguard the biodiversity of East Asian- Australian Flyway (EAAF), CBCGDF regard it as its duty to call public attention to Yellow Sea ecosystem conservation, thus promoting China to engage in in-depth global governance.

 

The joint letter has been submitted to 21 members of the World Heritage Committee on June 25th, cc'ing head of pertinent organizations like World Heritage Centre and IUCN.

 

The 43rd Session of the World Heritage Committee was held in Baku, the Republic of Azerbaijan on June 30th.
