On April 23, China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) received a letter from Thai Nguyen, an expert in Saving Vietnam Wildlife (SVW) and his veterinary team. According to the blood test report and related feeding videos of "no move" provided before by CBCGDF, after careful analysis and study, they gave specific guidance and suggestions for the rescue work of the little guy "no move".

The following is the content of the original proposal:

1. In my experience, pangolins are highly susceptible to gastric ulcers which make them painful and end up not eating. They are also highly sensitive and easily get stressed especially when being kept in captivity for long-term so should you provide a dark and quiet bed box with good ventilation inside for him.

2. We usually just tube feed once every 2 days to reduce stress from handling with a mixture of blended ant egg and carnivore emergency formula (the main ingredient for boosting the animal health). The tube fed volume should be given as little and slow as possible initially to partially stimulate appetite and prevent re-feeding syndrome as well as a sudden change in abdominal pressure. You can also do antacid (Sucralfate) orally as combined with the mixture or Cimetidine injection 5mg/kg SC daily would also help.

3. Vitamin B complex and Calcium supplement can also help this little one since he's a bit hypocalcemia.

4. I wonder if he got eye issue as well since I couldn't see clearly from the video. Anything painful can also make them stop eating.

The CBCGDF would like to express its sincere thanks to Thai Nguyen and his veterinary team for their professional guidance. The CBCGDF sincerely hopes that the guidance can help the little one "no move" to alleviate the pain and recover as soon as possible.
