Going out” and actively participating in global environmental governance is the mission and responsibility of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) as a social organization. CBCGDF has successfully hosted the three times Dalian International Bird Watching Festival and twice Tianjin International Bird Watching Festival and has accumulated rich professional experience. In order to carry out activities such types of Bird Watching Festival on a global scale, a mature working system has been established. With the deepening of CBCGDF international exchange activities, CBCGDF will organize a delegation to the DPRK in April 2019 at the invitation of the Ministry of Land and Environmental Protection of the DPRK, to jointly organize the "The 2019 DPRK International Bird Watching Festival" with the DPRK side to explore this mysterious country, to promote DPRK’s eco-tourism, makes it a new milestone in international cooperation to protect the diversity of bird species and achieve harmony between man and nature.

 

This DPRK International Bird Watching Festival will invite renowned bird watching experts from the international organizations such as the International Crane Foundation, Bird International and so on, as well as other influential international institutions including the East Asian-Australasian Flyway Partnership (EAAFP), the TERRE Policy Centre among others. The participation of the event will fully demonstrate the international exchange and interaction.

 

Here, CBCGDF invites domestic and international birdwatchers, photographers, entrepreneurs, etc. to form a group to the DPRK.

 

Time: April 22-27, 2019

 

   Location: 2-3 cities including Pyongyang, the DPRK

 

   Content: ecological bird watching, ecological study, knowledge sharing of biodiversity conservation, etc.

 

Process: registration, submission of information of the personnel who participate in the study tour, verification information, sign the tour agreement, payment, departure

Itinerary Overview

 

Day1 Departure

 

By plane: Beijing - Pyongyang (about 2 hours flight, 0.5-hour time difference)

 

Arrive in Pyongyang. Pick up at the airport, go to the hotel, check in, and introduce the specific itinerary

 

Welcome dinner party.

 

Day2 Birdwatching and Ecology Study + Bird Watching Outcomes Exchange Meeting

 

In groups by buses to different bird watching spots.

 

Day3 Birdwatching and Ecology Study + Bird Watching Outcomes Exchange Meeting

 

In groups by buses to different bird watching spots.

 

Day4 Wetland ecological survey and research, as well as a study and exchange meeting on wetland resources (inviting local officials to explain ecological protection and environmental protection).

 

Day5 Comparative survey and symposium on biodiversity + activity of experiencing of original ecology in the DPRK.

 

Day6 Pyongyang – Beijing

 

A farewell party by the officials of the Ministry of Land and Environmental Protection of the DPRK (MoLEP) (issuing commemorative certificates).

 

Arrive in Beijing and end the whole tour event.

 

Registration Notice

 

The materials required for the visa application: electronic registration form, original passport (for more than half a year), 1 copy of ID card, 2 recent bareheaded photos of 2-inch with blue/white background.

 

Registration Procedure

 

You are welcomed to register to apply now. Please provide the full name of your workplace, position, name, gender, ethnicity, date of birth, nationality, passport number when registering.

 

Submit the materials required for visa processing 15 days in advance and pay enough to participate in the group.

 

Event fee: USD 1,500 (excluding international round-trip airfare)

 

Contains:

 

- Handling the original version of the invitation to the DPRK, and the cost involved in the bird watching festival, ecological study and communication during staying in the DPRK.

 

- Standard double room at the DPRK's first class/superior hotel, including breakfast, lunch and dinner (with tea)

 

- Single room difference: USD 30/person/night

 

- City traffic (bus) during staying in the DPRK

 

- Driver and translator (guide)

 

- Travel insurance (the liability insurance of the travel agency, accidentally died, disabled, the amount of 250,000 yuan)
