In July 2016, the CBCGDF's Endangered Species Fund released a survey report on the status of pangolins in China.

“Increase the transparency of information. Stop use [of pangolin] in Chinese Medicine

An overview of pangolin data: when will the over-exploitation of the pangolin end?

--Based on data analysis of government information and suggestions for conservation”

In this report, the CBCGDF's Endangered Species Fund calls for the forestry department to strengthen the transparency of the information disclosure of wildlife-related administrative licenses, stop the medicinal use of pangolins, and exercise strict protection to save the endangered species pangolins from extinction.

In the past three years, CBCGDF has been promoting species protection in all aspects and in multiple channels. In the 2018 "a counting year for pangolin", we will revisit the data of this 2016 report. The following is a report of China Environmental News, which is hereby reproduced.

In the fourth quarter of 2018, we will continue to continue at the 70th Standing Committee of the United Nations Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (Russia), London High Level Conference on Combating Illegal Wildlife Trade (IWT, UK), the 50th Anniversary Plenary Session of the Club of Rome (Italy), and the 14th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (Egypt). We will do our utmost to ensure that the pangolins that are going to extinction will usher in a new turning point and vitality.
