The third Saturday in September is recognized as International Coastal Cleanup Day (ICCD) when volunteers worldwide work with organizations to clean up Marine debris from local beaches. This year's International Coastal Cleanup Day falls on September 18, which coincides with China's traditional Mid-Autumn Festival and is a working day before the short holiday.
