On January 1, 2021, the Civil Code of the People's Republic of China was officially implemented. Under the new era, new economy, science and technology, China's development view of ecological civilization has also changed. The green development principle with Chinese characteristics brings us new opportunities in the new era of the civil code.

In order to help the documentary team of "Civil Code in Progress" of China Central Radio and television better understand the working process of CBCGDF in the new era of the civil code, Zhou Jinfeng, vice president and Secretary General of CBCGDF, met with the documentary team of "Civil Code in Progress" of CCTV Social and Law Channel in Beijing. Dr. Zhou introduced to the documentary team about various cases of ecological civilization construction and green environmental protection that CBCGDF has been carrying out all the time. 

During the conversation, Dr. Zhou said that the enemy of ecological civilization is industrial civilization. CBCGDF has been committed to the construction of ecological civilization for a long time, and always takes action. The typical cases include Tengger Desert case, smokeless train case, over packaging case, illegal environmental assessment case and so on.

Dr. Zhou also mentioned that it is very important to change the mindset, and we have been working hard to protect consumers' green consumption rights under this principle. 

On the issue of excessive packaging of goods, we realize that it will involve a series of problems, such as consuming more resources and increasing carbon emissions. If we can check the formulation of packaging standards to effectively control the source of problems, many kinds of pollution will be much less. This is what we must pay enough attention to in the new green era. 

Then Dr. Zhou shared more cases and stressed the serious harm of reducing biodiversity loss. He said a lot of pollution is still increasing, which is unbearable for human beings. We encourage more people to participate in the environmental protection and the construction of ecological civilization.
