CBCGDF Expert volunteers: The newly issued "National Code for Ecological Status Investigation and Evaluation: Field Observation of Wetland Ecosystems" has major defects and cannot objectively reflect ecological conditions

Recently, I read an article that reminded me of the biological indicators in the “National Code for Ecological Status Investigation and Evaluation-Field Observation of Wetland Ecosystems”. I think the biological indicators in this norm are a bit insufficient to reflect the ecological status.

“National Code for Ecological Status Investigation and Evaluation-Field Observation of Wetland Ecosystems” (HJ 1169—2021)It was announced on May 12, 2021, and will take effect on August 1, 2021.

The scope of application of this standard is described as: "This standard specifies requirements for field observation of wetland ecosystems, technical processes, selection and sampling of field observation samples, field observation index system, and field observation techniques. This standard applies to field observation of the terrestrial wetland ecosystems in national and provincial administrative districts and can be implemented with reference to other geographical areas."

In terms of word frequency, the author found only "Benthos" in this 11-page technical norm document.

This is strange, but shouldn't field observations of wetland ecosystems include other animals--such as birds, insects such as dragonflies, and amphibians such as frogs? Don't they belong to the National Ecological Survey?

Who drafted such a technical norm? Is the process of drafting and soliciting opinions open, transparent, and multidisciplinary? Why not include more experts in each area?
