Biodiversity Conservation in Our Neighborhood (BCON) refers to minimal interference to the natural environment and wildlife in populated areas, balancing environmental protection and regional development. This concept is proposed by Zhou Jinfeng, the secretary-general of CBCGDF. 

Hangzhou Dream Village, the scientific research base of Hangzhou Daodao Agricultural Science and Technology Co., Ltd.(Daodao), is a successful case of BCON practice. Here, biodiversity is vividly reflected. Human and nature live in harmony, houses are lined up on the streets, flowers bloom in the fields, and butterflies are seen everywhere. Premier Li Keqiang, CPPCC Chairman Wang Yang and French President Macron have all been here. 

Daodao was founded to study and promote key technologies for pollution-free and pesticide-free ecological prevention and control in the whole process of rice field background environment selection, field pest ecological prevention and control, storage pest identification and prevention, and scientific processing. It has three research bases: Hangzhou Dream Village, Archaeological Ruins of Liangzhu City, and Hongyuan Garden in Xixi National Wetland Park.

CBCGDF is happy to see more successful BCON practice from Daodao in the future.
