Recently, Wang Bin, Secretary-General of the People's Mediation Committee of Internet Society of (ISC) and Guo Yuzhong, Chief Mediator, visited China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF). Concerning Children's Day and the official implementation of the newly revised Law on the Protection of Minors, Secretary-General Wang hopes to carry out education and publicity activities to protect biodiversity and green development for children.
Zhou Jinfeng, Secretary-General of the CBCGDF, said the lack of education for children, children and teenagers is not only a legal issue. He was struck by the fact that several years ago, an English training institution offered green courses on topics such as climate crisis, carbon neutrality and plastic waste in the ocean. As for the protection of minors, properly guiding the protection of biodiversity is also an important content. Therefore, when it comes to protecting young people, we should pay attention to green education. In fact, there are a whole set of ideas, theories, methods and contents, which are also in line with the construction of ecological civilization.
Several secondary institutions of CBCGDF, such as Children's Working Group, The ACTAsia fund, The Good Food Fund and Academic Committee of Natural Education, have carried out biodiversity conservation and green development science popularization education for minors.
Wang Bin introduced that It's important to pay attention to the bad behavior around the Internet and not just put up with it. It is suggested that a specific rule should be developed around the whole concept of biodiversity. He also hopes that the term "ecological civilization education" can be popularized by Dr. Zhou. Many people think it only refers to the environment.
Dr. Zhou finally introduced that a national society in the field of biodiversity conservation and green development should cooperate with the Internet Society of China, which will also be an essential tool to complete the task of science popularization.
