As China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) is one of the special supporters of the 11th International Youth Summit on Energy & Climate Change which will be held in Shenzhen, China next month, Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, the Secretary-General of CBCGDF has been invited to attend this important event, and will give a keynote sharing.
The International Youth Summit on Energy & Climate Change (IYSECC) is a youth leaders' summit jointly launched by a group of Chinese young people who are concerned about global sustainable development, international energy development and climate change issues to explore how the younger generation can better meet the opportunities and challenges brought about by global green change. Since its inception, IYSECC has been successfully held for ten times, serving more than 2,000 young people from all over the world and becoming an annual green feast for young people who are concerned about sustainable development.
The 11th of IYSECC will be held 18 – 22 July in Shenzhen, China. It’s organized by China Youth Climate Action Network (CYCAN) and under the theme of “Climate Change PLUS Climate Action Forward”.
Compared with previous years, the IYSECC Summit in 2019 will start from “Climate Change”, focus on more issue areas, and innovate the forms and channels of cooperation to achieve open, diverse and speculative value.
“Diversified Climate Governance”, “Climate Change and Biodiversity” and “Effective Strategies for Climate Action” formed the three main topics of this year’s IYSECC Summit. It focuses on the intersection of climate change and other social issues, encourages young people to focus on the impact of climate change from a multi-dimensional perspective, promotes collaborative participation in various industries. Climate action promotes sustainable development.
