In the context of the visiting by H.E. Mr. Karmenu Vella, EU Commissioner for Environment, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries in Beijing in the beginning of April 2019, Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, the Secretary-General of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) is invited by Mr. Nicolas Chapuis, EU Ambassador to China for attending a dinner at the Ambassador’s residence in Beijing lately.
The recent Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) on the impact of 1.5℃ and 2℃ warming above pre-industrial levels sent a stark reminder to humanity about the existential threat posed by climate change.
Advocating green development and tackling climate change is one of CBCGDF's long-term core areas of work.
Here, in particular, we have compiled the work of CBCGDF around promoting a green transformation to address climate change and sustainable development in recent years. Here's is what Dr. Zhou shared with Mr. Nicolas Chapuis and other international colleagues at this dinner meeting on CBCGDF's work, to share with readers.
