As the Vice President of the World Green Design Organization (WGDO), Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, the Secretary General of CBCGDF is invited to attend the grand award ceremony of the 14th Dragon Design Festival (DDF) held on December 12th, 2018 at 08:50-12:00 in the small hall of the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The Dragon Design Innovation Award is referred to as “Dragon Design Festival Award”, including “China Design Contribution Award”, “Dragon Design Award – Top Ten Outstanding Youth in China Design Industry” and “Dragon Star”. Established in 2005 and officially approved by the National Science and Technology Awards Office in 2011, it is the only national award to select design talents.
On December 8, the 14th Dragon Design Festival kicked off in a special format in Daxing District, Beijing. Dr. Zhou was invited to the event as an honorable guest, to give a speech on the theme of Green Design on the Festival’s opening ceremony. This year’s Dragon Design Festival arranged the “Dragon Design Fair”, the “Green Design to Support Beautiful Village” sub-forum, the Green Design Cultural and Creative Industry sub-forum, and the “Passive Architecture” sub-forum. At the same time, the most highly anticipated final review meeting of the Award was also enthusiastically carried out during the Festival period.
It is worth mentioning that this year coincides with the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening up. Therefore, the Dragon Design Festival organizers specially added a special award in the traditional awards - "40th Anniversary of Reform and Opening | 40 People in China Design" special award. In the 40 years of China's reform and opening up, the economy has developed rapidly, new technologies, new industries, new formats, and new models have emerged. The content of China's design field has continued to expand, and the scale of the industry has expanded year by year. The status of design in people's lives has also become more and more important. To commemorate and review the practical experience and great achievements of the design in the historical process, the organizers of the Festival decided to add this special character award to the awards reviewing.
