China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), known as the leading NGO in conservation and a national society in China, has maintained high attention to green design. Zhou Jinfeng, the Secretary-General of CBCGDF and the Vice President of the World Green Design Organization, is invited to deliver a speech for the opening ceremony of the 13th Dragon Design Festival.

The Dragon Design Festival, the annual national feast for the design industry, was launched by Dragon Design Foundation and has continued on since 2006. The festival started its cooperation with Da Xing Government since 2013. The Communication Department and the Inspection Group of Beijing Municipal Committee, Beijing Association for Science and Technology, Daxing District Government and numerous pertinent Universities and academies will be gathered for the opening ceremony.

The Dragon Design Festival has helped the design industry greatly develop in the district and played an important role in boosting regional industrial transformation and upgrading, introducing design resources and promoting innovation in governments and enterprises.

Innovation, sustainable design, and eco-civilization have been the focal areas of CBCGDF. Therefore, CBCGDF will exploit its experiences and resources for a better festival. This year’s festival will be held in Daxing while the new airport there is under construction, implying Daxing will be facing a further upgrading in infrastructure and the transformation of Yongding River.

CBCGDF thinks that Daxing projects can include “wilderness” such as “let the wild grass grow”, etc. to better involve in the next CBD COP15 held in Beijing.
