On the evening of December 4th, Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, Secretary-General of CBCGDF, went to Hong Kong to be a guest of the Phoenix TV Chinese Channel “Omni Talk”, to watch and interpret UNFCCC, the most important climate summit in history with the hosts of Phoenix Satellite TV.

 

"Omni Talk" is an unprecedented routine live broadcast created by Phoenix Satellite TV in 2015. The program team cooperated with #24 Hours of Reality# topic project to launch a 24-hour global live broadcast event on climate reality. The "China Time" part was taken live online at the main venue, as well as in Los Angeles and Beijing Phoenix Center sub-meeting venue, and invited Secretary-General Zhou Jinfeng to participate in the live broadcast of the program on the evening of the 4th.

The Katowice Climate Change Conference, including the 24th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Climate Change Convention (UNFCCC COP24), the 14th Meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP14) and the First Agreement of the Paris Agreement The third phase of the meeting will be held during the meeting from December 2nd to 14th.

 

Chinese Minister of Ecology and Environment Mr. Li Ganjie attended the Leaders' Summit held on December 3rd and conducted intensive consultations with relevant parties to actively promote the success of the Katowice Conference.

 

On the first day of the opening ceremony of the conference, more than 20,000 representatives from more than 190 countries attended the event. This concern for climate change is unprecedented.

 

The high-level events to be held during the Katowice Climate Change Conference include: high-level global climate action activities on December 4th; evaluation of implementation and ambitions by 2020 on December 10th; the third biennial biennial high-level dialogue on climate finance was held with the theme “Climate finance needs to be translated into action” on December 10th; “Talanoa Dialogue” Political dialogue and ministerial roundtables on December 11th, etc.

 

Other statutory activities to be held in Katowice include: the sixth promotional exchange under the International Consultation and Analysis Process; the Multilateral Assessment Working Group meeting under the International Assessment and Review Process; the review on improvements in the implementation of the Forum work response measurements; the seminar on “Community in Coronovica”; and the Nairobi Work Programme Contact Point Forum on the theme “Economic Diversity”.
