United Nations Headquarters Plaza, New York City, evening of 24-August-2018 local time: Zhou Jinfeng, Secretary-General of CBCGDF proposed and discussed the C-SDG World Youth Leadership Program at the 67th UN DPI/NGO Conference. The program will launch a campaign to reach out to people under the age of 60 around the world to promote Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Those over 60 years of age may participate in the corresponding steering group.

The program advocacy platform will involve building a team of 17 youth leaders to promote the SDG globally on the dynamics of the advocacy, and 169 youth champions to campaign in each of the UN SDG areas. At the same time, the program will collect the cases of young people practicing SDG and establish a model case demonstration platform.

The program will recommend young leaders and young champions to the United Nations and various well-known projects around the world. Leaders and pioneers can be individuals or organizations.

In order to reflect diversity and breadth, the program will gradually include the countries, states, ethnic groups and age groups which will be 10 years or younger, 11 - 15, 16 - 20 and so forth. When ready, the program will set up a debate format on a stage with groups of 17 leaders and 169 members. It's going to be a 12-year evolution.

Zhou Jinfeng said he would like to welcome all of you to join the C-SDG Working Group to carry out this important work and to hold the first SDG World Youth Leadership Summit at the United Nations next year. Registration for h1@wbag.org is now open.

What does C-SDG stand for? First, SDG stands for United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. C has two meanings. One is Civil society where the attributes of criticism, communication, cooperation and innovation are so important. C also stands for the 17 colored bands of the SDG logo, hence C-SDG!
