On January 20, at the“First Annual Meeting of Peking University Roundtable Forum of Youth CEO Club”, the SG of CBCGDF Dr. Zhou Jinfeng shared his experience in the field of public welfare. In his speech, during the event, he mentioned that as we enter into a world of ecological civilization, everyone should shift their field towards eco-civilization because it is the mainstream of our future employment.

He also stated that he's hoping when welcoming the idea of ecological civilization, we should also pay close attention to the negative impact on the environment. Taking the recent trend of sharing bicycles for example, although it has its positive value to the environment, it is not so “green” for everyone’s consideration because the production process of the bicycles involves the use of electricity, steel and carbon that make power plants and smelter around Beijing contributors to the smog in the region. He stressed that in order to make sharing bicycles more “green”, economic and environmental protection need to be taken into consideration as a precondition. He also stressed that we should work together to make tourism more sustainable for the environment. He urged the elite of Peking University to look into these issues because mankind will face more challenges due to the recent increase in industrial civilization and we must find a way to transform the situation hence creating an environmental friendly world for us all.
