CBCGDF Baiyangdian Wetland Natural Science Popularization Youth Base and Baiyangdian Wetland Ecological Wildlife Conservation Volunteer Team have been exploring the recycling of paper-based composite packaging represented by milk cartons since 2020, and continue to promote the recycling and reuse of packaging.
The team recently launched an environmental protection public welfare activity with the theme: low-carbon collection "box". This volunteer service activity mainly hopes to recruit local junior high school students and college students to participate. Zeng Xinran, who had just finished the exam in the third year of junior high school, completed the online registration after seeing the recruitment activity.
In this event, there were two cake bakeries and one milk tea shop, and a total of 260 one-liter paper-based composite packaging products were recycled. It is hoped that through such actions, more stores will participate, promote the recycling of low-value-added recyclables and practice urban waste classification and reduction.
Wang Xiaoye, the team leader, said that through organizing such activities, we can learn about children's understanding and views on environmental protection and voluntary service, so as to better design voluntary service activities. It is hoped that more families and children will participate in the "Box" action, and contribute to the reduction of household waste and the recycling of recyclables.
