Hosted by China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) and supported by United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the Youth Charity Art Exhibition with the theme of “Empowering with Love, Drawing Hope Together” will be officially launched at World Design Capital in Beijing on July 1-2, 2023. On the morning of July 1st, Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, Secretary General of CBCGDF, will attend the event and deliver a speech at the opening ceremony.
This exhibition will bring together works created by hundreds of children and teenagers aged 4-14 from 75 schools and institutions in 25 cities across the country. In the three exhibition areas, including children’s painting, digital production and refugees’ handicraft, over 600 works will reflect the environmental awareness advocated by UNHCR to pay attention to green energy among children and young people. There will also be a runway show about their creative ideas on environmental protection performed by 50 teenagers, with the title of “Walking Home”.
This exhibition marks the integration of education about ecological civilization with “Empowering with Lover for Pakistan”, a charity project jointly initiated by CBCGDF and UNHCR. It is committed to establishing a rational and practical perspective to observe the specific problems in reality, so as to express the public’s love for helping refugees build their beliefs for a better future through green and low-carbon actions.
CBCGDF Media will provide a live broadcast of the event online, and extends sincere welcome to the public for online and offline participation. Through young people’s works of art, it appeals to the society to pay attention to the Pakistani refugee problem and reach a broad consensus on jointly coping with the global climate, energy and biodiversity crisis.
