On June 27th, 2023, Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, Secretary General of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) visited Baidong No.1 Primary School in Youjiang District, Baise City, which is a Wenxiu School.

Huang Wenxiu, an outstanding model of the times, had served as the first residential village secretary in the city of Baise, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. In order to carry forward and inherit her heroic deeds, Baise City has named a number of schools with the title of “Wenxiu School”.

The school teacher introduced the heroic deeds of Huang Wenxiu to Dr. Zhou and how the teachers and students of the school thoroughly studied her spirit and turned the inspiration from a role model into the motivation for work and study.

Dr. Zhou was deeply moved by her devotion and sense of responsibility. He said that he would donate the Cosmicrew series, a children’s picture book series of which he is one of the authors, to Baidong No.1 Primary School. He hoped that the school can inherit the spirit of Huang Wenxiu, adhere to the principle of cultivating people by virtue, create a lively, integrated and harmonized environment for students’ development, and cultivate the young with all-round development in morality, intelligence, physique, aesthetics and labor.
