On January 30, 2023, Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, the Secretary General of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), sent an invitation letter through international friends to His Excellency Mr. David Choquehuanca Céspedes, the Vice President of Bolivia, inviting him to attend the 2023 International Biodiversity Conference of People and deliver a speech on the theme of "harmonious coexistence between human and nature" to the global people, and received a positive reply from H.E. Mr. David Choquehuanca. In the future, they will communicate about further affairs on formal invitations and guests participation.
Borned on May 7, 1961, Mr. David Choquehuanca Céspedes was elected Vice President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia in October 2020. In 2007, at the invitation of Yang Jiechi, the then Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, Mr. Choquehuanca, the then Foreign Minister of the Republic of Bolivia, paid an official visit to China from December 20 to 24.
His Excellency Mr. David Choquehuanca Céspedes has been working hard for environmental protection issues all the year round, putting forward the idea of "well-living in harmony with nature", emphasizing the ancestral knowledge and culture, especially the respect for "Mother Earth", and integrating it into the work of protecting nature and biodiversity, as well as climate actions and so on.
