Hydrogen the clean energy with the most development potential in the 21st century

Hydrogen and energy have a long shared history – powering the first internal combustion engines over 200 years ago to becoming an integral part of the modern refining industry. It is light, storable, energy-dense, and produces no direct emissions of pollutants or greenhouse gases. But for hydrogen to make a significant contribution to clean energy transitions, it needs to be adopted in sectors where it is almost completely absent, such as transport, buildings, and power generation. The Future of Hydrogen provides an extensive and independent survey of hydrogen that lays out where things stand now; the ways in which hydrogen can help to achieve a clean, secure, and affordable energy future; and how we can go about realising its potential.

Hydrogen energy, regarded as the clean energy with the most development potential in the 21st century, is a secondary energy source. It has diverse sources, can achieve zero emissions at the terminal and is environmentally friendly; it has a wide range of uses, in addition to power generation and heat generation, it is also an ideal alternative energy source for transportation. Since the 1970s, the unique advantages of hydrogen energy have attracted the attention of the international community. Some countries are actively developing new generation energy technologies such as hydrogen energy and fuel cells. In recent years, China has also strongly supported the development of the hydrogen energy industry. The hydrogen energy industry chain is also the starting point for stimulating economic development and transformation and upgrading. It is predicted that in the future China will become the center of the world's hydrogen energy industry chain.

The core of the hydrogen energy industry chain is the hydrogen fuel cell stack. The stack is a hard-core technology with a very high technological content. It can be said that it is the crown jewel of the hydrogen energy industry chain. Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, the General Secretary of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) had published papers on this subject when he was studying in the Department of Chemistry at Peking University. He also hopes to establish a Blue-Sky Fund in (CBCGDF) to promote the leap-forward development of stack technology in China's hydrogen energy industry chain and seize the commanding heights of the international hydrogen energy industry.

On Friday, February 3rd, Dr. Marco A. Cabero, Deputy Secretary of the South-South Biodiversity Science Project (SSBSP), was invited to the Dongsheng International Park. He had the opportunity to meet members of the leading hydrogen center in China, Mrs. Candice Zhou, Anastasiya Donskova, and Mr. Li Ming.

During his visit, Dr. Cabero was introduced to Daxing International Hydrogen Demonstration Zone and was updated on the current status of the hydrogen transportation technology development. Dongsheng International Park has set up five hydrogen energy lines and several hydrogen shuttle buses. Among them, the annual driving shifts in 2022: were more than 28000; Carrying more than 160000 passengers.

At the end of the meeting, CBCGDF was invited to visit the Daxing International Hydrogen Demonstration Zone to learn more about the development of hydrogen technology and its potential to revolutionize the car industry. Respective coordination works are taking place to realize the meeting.

CBCGDF will continuously promote the development of green hydrogen (gradually reduce the ratio of gray hydrogen and blue hydrogen) and bolster the upgrade of the entire hydrogen energy industry chain, to accelerate the improvement of all links in the construction of hydrogen energy pilot cities. It is of great significance for accelerating the construction of a carbon-neutral society, the construction of ecological civilization, and the promotion of a community with a shared future for mankind.
