In order to fully implement the concept of "green, intelligent, frugal, and civilized", Hangzhou Chun'an Division of the Asian Games focused on the idea of "running a meeting well and improving a city", deeply implementing the green action of the Hangzhou Asian Games, and actively refer to and adopt "Green Meeting Standard" issued by China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) in "Chun'an County Work Plan for Building Green Asian Games Iconic Achievements".
Featured Highlight Item 9 in the "Work Plan": Green services for Asian Games sub-village, clearly put forward the following content: "(4) In terms of commercial services, to reduce excessive packaging, plastic products and disposable products, and to provide water-saving cleaning products; Fitness center, entertainment center equipment and other equipment required for commercial formats should follow the principle of "to borrow rather than to rent, to rent rather than to buy" to reduce waste of resources; to (5) In terms of cultural activities, tables, chairs and cultural devices are planned to be made of paper-based environmental protection materials, which can be recycled and reused; (6) During conference activities, it is encouraged to implement green meeting standard and to reduce the use of one-time materials such as colorful flags and colored balls, and to appropriately reduce the printing activity materials according to the situation.
In addition, the "Work Plan" also includes green venue construction actions, building low-carbon parks, building biodiversity research highlands and other green Asian Games featured highlight projects, comprehensively promoting the green transformation of social production and lifestyle, practicing the concept of low-carbon cycle and green development, and helping achieve the "double carbon" goal.
The T/CGDF 00027-2021 "Green Meeting Standard" issued by CBCGDF Standards Committee in 2021 is the first national standard for green meeting in China. The standard has continuously summed up experience through years of practice, and has been upgraded in combination with China’s dual carbon goals.
