According to the relevant regulations of the group standards management of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), on January 17, 2022, CBCGDF organized experts to conduct a project review meeting on the group standard of "China Pure Plant Food Standard" proposed by Huamang Foundation of CBCGDF. And it has been reviewed by the expert group to meet the project requirements, and the project is now approved.
Protecting the ecological environment is a common challenge and responsibility faced by the world. Food is the strongest lever for improving human health and the sustainability of the planet's environment. In recent years, the development of the plant-based food industry has made great progress compared with the past, and more and more consumers are choosing pure plant-based diets. With the economic development and the improvement of residents' living standards, the product forms of the pure plant concept on the market are becoming more and more complex, and the pure plants, mixed plants and animals, and synthetic plants are mixed. In the face of the pure plant industry in the early stage of development, it is very necessary to have a standard to guide companies and organizations, and also to give consumers a standardized, transparent and reliable basis when choosing to buy. This standard is formulated based on this background, and in line with the principles of normalization, standardization and transparency.
