After long observation and discussion, China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation has decided to start the coastal wetland project on coastal wetland potential on contributing to biodiversity and dual carbon goal. Combining with dual carbon goal and Post-2020 Biodiversity Framework, scientist, researchers, and assistants will start the work since 2021.
On Sep.28th, after the seminar on wetland management, Dr.Zhou, Secretary General of CBCGDF has provided the blueprint of the coastal wetland project. After discussing research in the past. Dr.Zhou pointed out that opinions of experts shall be send to relative departments of China and to constantly contribute to China’s dual carbon goal.
Dr.Zhou also stressed the importance of third distribution, referring to creating opportunities for high-income group and enterprises to give back to society, including through voluntary gifts and charitable donations. Public involvement and major scientific projects shall be supported as well. This project could also be prepared for applying the top-10 scientific projects of the China Association for Science and Technology.
